Rainy day in Roath Park

It was rather wet when we visited Roath Park in Cardiff.

The rain was beginning to make us both feel rather wet and cold when we came across the conservatory in the botanic gardens.

Humans have to pay to go in but us bears go in for free!  Inside we found a warm tropical environment.

Lots of very big fish live in the pond.

Nye nearly fell in as he said ‘Hello’ to a turtle.

Some exotic flowers were beginning to bloom.

We spent a while looking round and examining the various plants.

Unfortunately rain was falling inside the glasshouse as well as outside! The environment has to be kept damp and warm like a tropical rain forest for the plants to thrive.

A couple of ducks live there but they wouldn’t turn around for a photo!

After visiting the conservatory we felt rather hungry. So visited a local cafe, 4 Seasons Coffee House for a tasty lunch.
