Tyntesfield House has a quite unusual art installation at the moment. I was looking forward to having a look as I have seen a few photos online.

The exhibition is called ‘The Uninvited Guest from the Unremembered Past’

The sculptures, made by Nicola Turner are all made from old bits of upholstery and furniture stuffing.

They represent memories that humans try to forget that come back into their minds

They were spewing out in all sorts of places…

Some of then were quite creepy and scary.

Most were black but there was one white one.

A huge swathe of forgotten memories were emerging from a chimney.

I am guessing the sculpture in the bed represents the memories that come back in humans’ dreams, or maybe while they try to get to sleep.

It was interesting and lots of humans were walking around. The exhibition is there until 2nd November 2024.

I think I’d find that a bit creepy Horace, very much like bad dreams.
