I am looking to buy an Alresford bear for my twin granddaughters coming up 4 months.
My daughter Stephanie was given a ‘pooh bear’ in 1982 when she was born and she still has him. He is called Threadbear for obvious reasons. He has travelled the world with her and is always the first to go into her suitcase.
I used to wash him regularly and as she was impatient whilst he dried I bought her the large pooh (smile) bear, which she rejected and also the Alresford 18″ white fur bear which we called Polar.
She rejected him too.
As a baby he was always her pillow and now still lies on her bed.
She is now 39 years old and become a mother of twins, Nina and Bonnie. Fortunately we have large Pooh bear and Polar but I am searching for an 18″ pooh bear!
Polar has just been washed and dried and will be sent to her by post tomorrow.
Do you know anyone who would like to sell an 18″ pooh bear at a reasonable price so that he can be loved?

Hi Teresa
This isn’t a buying and selling page. Alresford Bears like Horace have become desirable over the last few years and most people hold on to them. Keep an eye on eBay.
